This series was admittedly written to satiate John Byrne’s desire to return to the Fantastic Four. Byrne felt at the time that Marvel’s First family had strayed far away from who they really were, so he created Danger Unlimited as part of the new creator controlled experiment “Legend Comics” to fill the void.
